- Homeowners: Name, email address, phone number, home address or zip code, and description of your home service project;
- Service Professionals: Name, business name, email address, phone number, service categories, service area, and any profile content you upload including photos, descriptions, and credentials;
- Payment information, which is collected and processed directly by Stripe and is not stored by Bob's Job;
- Communications you send to us via the contact form, chat, or otherwise.
1.2 Information Collected Automatically
When you use the Platform, we and our third-party service providers may automatically collect:
- IP address and approximate geographic location;
- Device identifier, browser type, and operating system;
- Pages viewed, links clicked, and time spent on the Platform;
- Referring website or traffic source;
- Session data including mouse movement, scrolling behavior, and page interactions.
2. Tracking Technologies
2.1 Cookies
The Platform uses cookies, small data files stored on your device, to enhance your experience, remember your preferences, and support analytics. We use essential cookies necessary for the Platform to function, analytics cookies via Google Analytics, and customer support session cookies via Tawk.to. The Platform does not currently respond to browser-based "Do Not Track" signals.

- Operate, maintain, and improve the Platform;
- Connect Homeowners with Service Professionals by sharing contact information upon Lead purchase;
- Process payments and manage billing through Stripe;
- Send notifications about Lead opportunities, account activity, and Platform updates;
- Respond to inquiries and provide customer support via Tawk.to;
- Monitor and enforce these Terms and our policies;
- Detect, prevent, and investigate fraud, abuse, or unauthorized activity;
- Comply with applicable laws and legal obligations;
- Analyze usage trends through Google Analytics.
4. How We Share Your Information
4.1 With Service Professionals
When a Service Professional purchases a Lead, we share the Homeowner's contact information as provided in the project request with that Service Professional. By submitting a project request, Homeowners consent to this sharing.
4.2 With Homeowners
We may share a Service Professional's profile information with Homeowners who have submitted relevant project requests.
4.3 With Third-Party Service Providers
We share information with vendors that assist in operating the Platform, including:
- Stripe — Payment processing (https://stripe.com/privacy)
- MongoDB — Database storage (https://www.mongodb.com/legal/privacy-policy)
- Google Analytics — Usage analytics (https://policies.google.com/privacy)
- Tawk.to — Customer support chat (https://www.tawk.to/privacy-policy/)
These third parties are authorized to use your information only as necessary to provide their services to us.
4.4 Legal and Safety Disclosures
We may disclose your information if we believe it is necessary to: (a) comply with applicable law, legal process, or government request; (b) enforce these Terms; (c) protect the rights, property, or safety of Bob's Job, our Users, or the public; or (d) detect, prevent, or address fraud or security issues.
4.5 Business Transfers
In the event of a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets, your information may be transferred as part of that transaction. Your information is considered a business asset of Bob's Job.

By providing your contact information on the Platform and submitting a project request or creating an account, you expressly consent to receive communications from Bob's Job and, where applicable, Service Professionals, via email, phone, or text message (SMS), including through automated or prerecorded systems. Standard message and data rates may apply. You may opt out of marketing text messages at any time by replying STOP to any such message. You may opt out of marketing emails by clicking the unsubscribe link in any email. Note that opting out of certain communications may affect your ability to use the Platform fully.
6. Data Security
WE TAKE REASONABLE TECHNICAL AND ORGANIZATIONAL MEASURES TO PROTECT YOUR PERSONAL INFORMATION AGAINST UNAUTHORIZED ACCESS, DISCLOSURE, ALTERATION, AND DESTRUCTION. HOWEVER, NO METHOD OF INTERNET TRANSMISSION OR ELECTRONIC STORAGE IS COMPLETELY SECURE, AND WE CANNOT AND DO NOT GUARANTEE THE ABSOLUTE SECURITY OF YOUR PERSONAL INFORMATION. YOU PROVIDE YOUR INFORMATION AT YOUR OWN RISK. IN THE EVENT OF A DATA BREACH AFFECTING YOUR INFORMATION, WE WILL COMPLY WITH APPLICABLE NOTIFICATION REQUIREMENTS UNDER MAINE AND FEDERAL LAW.
7. Data Retention
We retain your personal information for as long as your account is active, as necessary to provide Platform services, and as required to comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce our agreements. You may request deletion of your account and associated data by contacting us through the contact form on the Platform, subject to any legal retention requirements.

Depending on your jurisdiction, you may have rights regarding your personal information, including the right to access, correct, or request deletion of your data. You may opt out of marketing communications at any time as described in Section 5.
9. Children's Privacy
The Platform is not directed to individuals under 18 years of age, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from minors.
